What has happened to UK, French and International versions of Microsoft Money 2006 and 2007

Microsoft announced that there will NOT be any version of these products. The only versions of Money 2006 and 2007 that will be produced are those for the US, Canada (2006 only) and Japan.

Microsoft also stated that this does not imply that there will never be updates to localized or international versions. I don't believe there is going to be a Microsoft Money 2007 for these regions either. Potentially, Microsoft could skip 2 years, and not release another versions until Microsoft Money 2008. However, this is by no means a certainty, and given that information on Microsoft Money 2008 is now coming out, it is worth mentioning that there is no information on other regions other than the US at present.

Update: There is no Money 2008 for UK, French or International users

For UK users, this does not (currently) imply that Microsoft are pulling out of the UK market, unlike Intuit Quicken (Article 103), although if there isn't say a Money 2008, then it would be difficult to not infer this.

By not releasing Microsoft Money 2006 and 2007, Microsoft have created the first 'gap' in the yearly sequence of Money updates since 1995, when there was no 'Money 96' was released.

The current version of Microsoft Money for the UK, French and International market (includes other English-speaking countries, plus a few additional ones) is MS Money 2005. UK Users can obtain more information from the Money 2005 Product Page.
