Enabling sounds in MS Money 2005
To enable sounds in Microsoft Money, you would normally just go to the program settings and enable sounds in there. Sometimes, this doesn't provide you with the desired effect of actually enabling them. Assuming you have the sounds installed on your system (which should be the case in most circumstances), then try the patch referenced below.
The patch assumes you have Money installed in the default path of "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2005". The third option below assumes the use of "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Money 2005". Use the alternative (second) version if you get an error such as "Cannot import: The specified file is not a registry script." when installing the first version below.
The patch resets the registry settings which contain the file location information about the sounds. If you use a non-default path, then you will need to manually change the paths in the file before merging it.
